Spring Japanese Camp
Date: Everyday From March 30 (Fri) to April 3 (Fri) 10 AM to 6 PM
Place: 698 Plymouth Ave, San Francisco, CA 94112
Age: From kinder to 5th grade
Japanese ability: No Japanese knowledge is required. However this is a fully Japanese immersion program where teachers and most students speak only Japanese. The idea is to give children maximum exposure to authentic Japanese. Some children with no Japanese knowledge feel pretty comfortable in this environment, and some don't. Many children fall in between where the first several days they feel uncomfortable but gradually they feel more comfortable as they get used to this new environment and pick up more Japanese.
Program: Do homework, workbook, games, art, sports, cooking, etc. all in Japanese. For homework and workbook, you can bring your English homework/workbook, or upon request, we can prepare a Japanese workbook where children can learn to write hiragana, katakana, or kanji depending on their Japanese level and interest. Please note that this is not a formal Japanese lesson, but rather a self-directed study with teachers' help.
Fees: Minimum 1 hour. $10/hour, or $75/day. If you have not registered with us, there will be an additional annual registration fees $38. For an extra $15.00, you can drop off your children as early as 9 AM.
